GO BEYOND WHAT'S EXPECTED
The Beyond120 program is committed to maintaining support of student professional development during this time of social distancing. Here are some ways you can continue to go Beyond120 at a distance:
Career Readiness Coursework
The Beyond120 program offers a large curriculum of courses to support your career development. A full list of summer and fall courses can be found HERE.
We also have a series of free online career readiness modules that cover essential professional skills such as interviewing, professional materials, and personal branding.
For questions about coursework, you can contact Ryan Braun at email@example.com.
There are many opportunities to engage in virtual internship experiences. Below are some resources to help you get started.
IDS4940: Should you obtain a remote internship, you may earn credit for this experience by enrolling in IDS4940: Internship. More details on this course and how to register for it can be found HERE.
For questions about internships, you can contact Brittany Grubbs at firstname.lastname@example.org
International virtual internships with organizations overseas are available. While lacking the travel, you still gain the professional and intercultural experiences that come with working and studying in a global context. IDS4940 Internship credit can be arranged.
Resources to help you get started with many of these options can be found HERE, or you can contact Beyond120’s global engagement coordinator for consultations. Email Joe Orser at email@example.com to schedule a meeting.
Beyond120’s career readiness modules now include a series devoted to research. Modules are currently available on research writing and digital research, and more topics will be appearing soon.
The Beyond120 curriculum includes a new research-preparation course, IDS4930: Intro to Research in the Liberal Arts and Sciences, for summer B and fall semester.
For research help, advice and consultation, Beyond120’ s research coordinator is available every Monday through Friday for zoom meetings. Email firstname.lastname@example.org to schedule a meeting.
The Beyond120 program will be regularly hosting virtual workshops focused on various dimensions of professional development. You can see a schedule of upcoming workshops and events HERE.
