The summer before my sophomore year, I got a civil engineering internship at a Forbes Top-100 company copper mine. I worried because I had zero engineering experience. But my computational skills were really all I needed, as well as the ability to learn quickly and take direction. It taught me that even with majors as broad as mine, I really am qualified to do anything that I desire.
