Food Drive

Tau Sigma is sponsoring a food drive for Food4Kids Backpack program, a North Florida foundation that ensures “no child will go to bed hungry.” One important aspect of our mission within Tau Sigma is to make sure that students are able to take advantage of the resources at their institutions. Supporting this program helps children in our community better understanding the incredible resource that a school or educational institution can be for them.

We will be collecting non-perishable foods for the remainder of March; this can include pastas, cereals, canned foods, ramen noodles, among other things. If you have any questions about what is eligible for donation, please let us know. Food donations may be dropped off in the Delta Chapter’s donation box outside of Robert Kwong’s office, Farrior Hall Room 212. You may go straight up to the 2nd floor, look for the yellow school bus decorated box, by Room 212.

Tau Sigma Social

There will be a social Thursday, March 19th, 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. We will be screening the Oscar-winning short films at The Polo clubhouse. There is a popcorn buffet and refreshments. Donations for Food4Kids will be accepted at the social. This social will be short and sweet (literally), and should hopefully expose you to some international (short… very short) movies that you haven’t seen before.

Directions to the social:
2330 SW Williston Rd, Gainesville, FL 32608
If entering from the Williston RD: Take a right at the stop sign and continue until the next stop sign. Go straight and the club house will be on your left. Please only park in the spaces marked with “V.”

If entering from SW 35th: Enter the polos and proceed straight until you see the clubhouse on your right. You went too far if you hit a stop sign! Please only park in the spaces marked with “V.”
