Dual Degree

If your two degrees are both in CLAS make sure you have the CLAS Department(s) Authorized Representative(s) signature(s), and then submit the form to forms@advising.ufl.edu from your @ufl.edu email address. Expect a processing time of up to 10 business days.

If Requested Major is NOT in CLAS Make sure you have signatures from Requested Major and College and then submit the form to forms@advising.ufl.edu from your @ufl.edu email address. Expect a processing time of up to 10 business days.

The Dean's Certification (Law School) form has to be completed by the Dean of Student's Office as they have access to your disciplinary record.

Financial Aid Plan of Work

Make an appointment with an academic advisor to discuss your plan for graduation and how your current registration applies to your degree.

Complete the top portion of the Hours Extension Form and submit it to forms@advising.ufl.edu from your @ufl.edu email address. Expect up to 10 business days processing time.

Submit an Undergraduate Application to Add or Cancel a Minor, request via one.uf.edu.

For a Multiple Majors within a College (aka Double Major) form, make sure you have the CLAS Department(s) Authorized Representatives' signatures, and then submit the form to forms@advising.ufl.edu from your @ufl.edu email address. Expect a processing time of up to 10 business days.

Submit your completed ROTC Graduation Plan form to forms@advising.ufl.edu from your @ufl.edu email address. Expect a processing time of up to 10 business days.

Submit your S-U (Satisfactory-Unsatisfactory) Grade Option Application form with Instructor and Department Chair Signatures to forms@advising.ufl.edu from your @ufl.edu email address. Expect a processing time of up to 10 business days.

For Study Abroad forms, obtain approval from department advisors/undergraduate coordinators for any courses that you wish to count toward a major/minor/certificate for course equivalency. Then submit the form to forms@advising.ufl.edu from your @ufl.edu email address.

Alternatively, you may make an appointment with an academic advisor to discuss your plan for graduation and how your current registration applies to your degree. Expect a processing time of up to 10 business days.

Transient Requests

  • If requesting to take courses at another public institution in Florida, complete a Florida Shines transient request. Expect up to 10 business days processing time.

  • If requesting to take courses out-of-state or at a private institution, complete the UF transient form and the Transient Equivalency form.
    • Once you have filled out both forms and obtained department signatures for course equivalency for major/minor/certificate courses (emails from the departments @ufl.edu email addresses will be sufficient), forward all email approvals and the form to forms@advising.ufl.edu from your @ufl.edu email address. Expect a processing time of up to 10 business days.

For University Petition Interviewing Officer Statements, have the rest of your petition completed (personal statement, instructor forms, documentation), then make an appointment with an advisor.

You can connect to an advisor in any of these ways:

  1. Meet with a CLAS General Academic Advisor by appointment (either remotely or in-person):
  2. Drop in for Advising for Quick Questions (Remote) with a Peer Advisor between 2:30 and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Thursday if your question is quick, such as:
    • Students will be served on a first-come, first-served basis within the AQQ block.
    • An advisor should be able to answer your question within 5 minutes, for example:
      • Confirming what you need to graduate next term.
      • Confirming your schedule will put you on track by the end of next term.
      • Simple questions about your degree audit (e.g., how do I meet foreign language, do I need another Writing course? etc.).
      • Changing to a CLAS major if you are in your first- or second-year and are or can easily be on-track for the next term for the new major.
      • Questions about declaring a minor.
    • Be sure to go to the ZOOM WAITING ROOM link in the pop-up box after you’ve signed into the Advising for Quick Questions lobby.
  3. Make an appointment with a Peer Advisor:

First year Pre-Health students at UF should speak with their college or major specific advisors for registration assistance and utilize the professions information tiles and course timelines on the Pre-Health advising website as well as the Pre-Health 101 video in the Pre-Health Essentials canvas course.

If you have questions concerning career exploration, how to obtain shadowing, clinical volunteering and experience, research, and the like, you might consider a Pre-Health Peer Mentor.

20 minute Drop/add Appointments are for CLAS Pre-health students with questions pertaining to drop/add only. All other questions should use the post drop add links off of the previous page to schedule an appointment after Drop/Add registration has passed.

I am beginning Innovation Academy this upcoming Spring.

If your major is in CLAS, in early to mid-November, you will receive an email to your @ufl.edu email address with instructions to book Spring 2024 advising appointment.

In-person and remote advising appointments are on November 29th and November 30th.

You must complete the “Schedule Building Worksheet” prior to your appointment.

New CLAS Students should register for and attend Preview. You will receive advising information before Preview via email and during Preview as well.

  • If you are a transfer student, sign up for Preview Transfer orientation. If your Preview session is coming up soon, check your @ufl.edu email for incoming transfer student advising information.
  • If you are a first-year student, sign up for Preview First-Year orientation. If your Preview session is coming up soon, check your @ufl.edu email for incoming student advising information and be sure to complete Preview Prep before Preview.
