UF College of Agricultural and Life Sciences

Pre-Health Advising
Incoming Freshmen:
- Incoming freshmen students are required to attend Preview, meet with their college/major advisor for their first year, and learn about pre-health academics and resources.
- Please note: If you are a student in the College of Agricultural and Life Sciences; in the UF Honors Program; in the Pre-Pharmacy or Nursing major; you have a designated Pre-Health advisor. Please utilize the drop-down menu below to find their contact information.
- Model semester plans for each health profession can be located on the Pre-health Resources page under Suggested Timelines.
Pre-Health Advising Appointment Information (sophomores-alumni)
- The Pre-Health Advising Team advises UF Pre-Health students sophomores (term 3 and above) through UF Alumni both in-person and remote Zoom appointments by taking our quick survey: Connect with an advisor and schedule an appointment.
- UF transfer students are encouraged to watch the Pre-Health 101 Workshop; attend Preview; speak with their college and/or major advisors; and then meet with a Pre-health Advisor if you have Pre-Health specific questions.
Required Materials for Pre-Health Advising Appointments
- Students scheduling a Pre-Health Advising Appointment are required to arrive with a completed rough draft of a Pre-Health Action Plan.
- Students should complete both page 1 and 2 of the Action Plan prior to their appointment time.
- Students may consider utilizing the Model Semester Plans for their desired health profession, found via: catalog.ufl.edu > Programs and Majors > Model Semester Plans.
- Students can also utilize the Pre-Health Profession Tiles affiliated with their respective health profession.
- Students should complete both page 1 and 2 of the Action Plan prior to their appointment time.
Pre-Health Email Quick Question Advising
- Pre-Health students with a quick, Pre-Health question may email the Pre-Health Advising Team at prehealth@advising.ufl.edu for assistance. Please note: if a student’s question requires more than 1-2 sentences of explanation of their issue, it is likely NOT a quick question and should instead be an appointment.
