Scholarships

Scholarships are a type of gift aid, and do not need to be repaid. Scholarships are awarded for different amounts, and for different purposes. We encourage you to look at the scholarships listed here to determine your eligibility, and also to visit the CLAS Scholarships Page for information on many more awards available for students in this college.

Sherrel Brockington Scholarship

The Sherrel Brockington Scholarship is a $1,000 award, given annually to a CLAS undergraduate who is a Pell-eligible graduate of an Alachua County high school. The scholarship is typically awarded once a year, for the Spring semester. It is intended to recognize outstanding academic and personal achievement. The application (PDF, 364 KB) for the Spring 2024 award is due November 8, 2023.

The Brian and Kate Harfe International Exchange Award

The Brian and Kate Harfe International Exchange Award provides need-based scholarships for CLAS undergraduates participating in certain CLAS-sponsored exchange programs. See the Harfe Scholarship for a list of the eligible programs and application details.
