The University of Florida’s College of Liberal Arts and Sciences offers students the opportunity to study at the University of Glasgow. Founded in 1451, the University of Glasgow is the fourth oldest university in the English-speaking world. With a wealth of cultural attractions, impressive architecture, fantastic shopping and a year-round programme of world-class events, it is easy to understand why Glasgow is firmly established as one of Europe’s most exciting destinations. As the UK’s fourth-largest city and one of the world’s top student destinations, Glasgow has loads to offer you. The city is home to more than 20 world-class museums and art galleries; and is proud to have Europe’s largest civic arts collection with works by Dali, Van Gogh, Degas and Monet all available to view free-of-charge in venues around the city. It also has more green space per head of population than any other European city, with over 90 parks and public gardens. - Students must have completed 12 hours of coursework at the University of Florida.

As this is a UF exchange program, credits taken can satisfy major, minor, and elective course requirements with prior approval. UF GPA credit will be granted for all courses taken at University of Glasgow. The University of Glasgow offers a range of courses to choose from in Liberal Arts and Sciences. 20 units is equivalent to 5 credits. Please check in the course descprition to see if the course is available to visiting students.
Tuition at the host school is waived for exchange students. Students participating in an exchange pay tuition directly to the University of Florida at their usual tuition rate. All financial aid, scholarships, and fellowships are applicable. Students incur no additional tuition cost while they are on an exchange.
Glasgow guarantees a place in a student residence or apartment as long as you apply on time. There are several self-catering options to choose from, all within a 15-20 minute walk from the campus. Read more about accommodation options.
University of Florida students needing financial aid should apply through UF Student Financial Affairs. Normal eligibility for aid may be used while studying abroad as an exchange student. This includes using the Bright Futures scholarship and the Florida Pre-Paid College Plan.
For fall, spring, and academic-year scholarships administered by the University of Florida International Center, the deadlines for application are: early March for programs starting in fall; and early October for programs starting in spring. Application forms are available on the UF International Center website.

Students will be billed for mandatory international health insurance which includes emergency medical assistance.
A $375 non-refundable service charge is assessed for students participating in single semester or Academic Year programs. (The $375 fee is refundable if student is not accepted to the program). This charge is due within 21 days of the application. Students will be charged regular UF tuition while participating in the program.
