Meet the CLAS First Gen Team

Marquita Ockletree – Chair
I chose to work with first-generation students because supporting underrepresented students and those often viewed as the “underdog” is at the heart of my purpose in education. I find fulfillment in helping students discover possibilities, explore careers, and envision futures they may have never imagined for themselves. I joined the CLAS First-Generation Outreach Team to provide students with the guidance, encouragement, and support I wish I had received by empowering them to navigate their own paths with confidence and a sense of belonging.
Brittany Hoover
As a CLAS alumna and Double Gator, I am proud to have begun my UF journey as a first-generation college student and to have served for seven years on the MFOS Steering Committee. I also chaired NACADA’s First-Generation Advising Community from 2018–2020 and currently serve as a pre-health advisor, supporting students as they navigate their own paths to success. I am very excited about our new CLAS First Generation Team Outreach initiative and cannot wait to meet you all!
Dr. Adrienne Provost
I love helping students figure out how college works, discover the opportunities available to them, and find the path that feels right for them. If you’re trying to figure out where you belong, what comes next, or simply whom to ask, I’m here to help you navigate UF and make the most of your college experience.
Robyn Clarke
As a young woman with a disability, I know how daunting the transition onto a college campus can be. That’s why my goal as an academic advisor is to meet students where they are and offer support in all aspects of their collegiate career.
Racheal Croucher
As an academic advisor in CLAS, I love working with first gen students through partnerships with programs like MFOS and PROMISE. I’m excited to be on the inaugural CLAS First Generation Outreach Team to share in community, networking, and sharing of any knowledge I can with you all. I joined this team to provide you with the support that I wish I had as a first-gen college student myself.
Chris Kozak
I joined the CLAS First Gen Team because I enjoy helping this amazing group of students. As a first gen student myself, it is my goal to make you all feel supported, educated, and seen on campus at UF!
