Personal Statement Reviews

At this time, the Pre-Health Advising Team will begin offering personal statement reviews on April 7, 2025. These appointments will open 7 days in advance on April 1, 2025 at 11:59 p.m.

When booking a personal statement, students are required to:

  • Have their personal statement reviewed by the Career Connections Center, Writing Center, and/or peers.
  • Submit a final draft of their personal statement for review by the Pre-Health Advising Team.

Students that submit a personal statement that demonstrate a lack of prior review will have their appointment canceled. After completing the required pre-reviews, students can book an appointment with the Pre-Health Advising Team utilizing our Connect with an Advisor survey tool.

Students in the UF Honors Program should check with the UF Honors Program website for the UF Honors Pre-Health Advising Team’s availability. Honors students can also schedule an appointment by clicking on the Advising Module in their Canvas cohort.

Pre-Health Students in the UF College of Agricultural and Life Sciences may see Kathryn Ivey, Assistant Director of Academic Advising. To book an in-person or remote advising appointment, as well as to book a personal statement review appointment, utilize her Bookings.

  • The Career Connections Center is available for mock interviews. For more information and scheduling, please visit their Prepare for Interviews.
