CLAS Pre-Health Advising Services

Required Materials for Pre-Health Advising Appointments

Students scheduling a Pre-Health Advising Appointment are required to arrive with a completed rough draft of a Pre-Health Action Plan. Students should complete both page 1 and 2 of the Pre-Health Action Plan prior to their appointment time.

Students may consider utilizing the model semester plans (link to Model Semester Plans Tile) and the Pre-Health Profession Tile affiliated with their respective chosen health professions to prepare for their appointment.

Incoming Freshman

Incoming freshmen students are required to attend Preview, meet with their general college/major advisor for their first year, learn about pre-health academics (link to Academics Tile), and utilize pre-health resources (link to Resources & Workshops Tile), such as model semester plans (link to Model Semester Plans Tile).

Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors, & Alumni

The CLAS Pre-Health Advising Team advises UF Pre-Health students sophomores (term 3 and above) through UF Alumni both in-person and remote Zoom appointments by taking our quick survey to connect with an advisor and schedule an appointment.

UF transfer students are encouraged to watch the Pre-Health 101 Workshop; attend Preview; speak with their college and/or major advisors; and then meet with a pre-health advisor if you have pre-health specific questions.

Mock Interviews

Appointments for mock interviews can be scheduled with the Pre-Health Advising Team.

Students are only permitted ONE mock interview appointment, regardless of additional interviews or different interview modalities or types. Students must submit a professional school interview invitation from the 2025 application cycle, as well as all of their application materials (pre-health resume and/or personal statement) at the time of booking or it will be canceled, as sufficient time is needed for advisor feedback.

The Career Connections Center is also available for mock interviews. For more information and scheduling, please visit their Prepare for an Interview page.

Personal Statement Reviews

Appointments for personal statement reviews are closed for the 2026 cycle. Pre-Health Advising offers mock interviews from early April through late July to follow the professional school application cycle.

The Career Connections Center is available for personal statement reviews. For more information and scheduling, please visit their Resumes/Documents page.

Pre-Health Email Quick Question Advising

Pre-Health students with a quick, Pre-Health question may email the Pre-Health Advising Team at prehealth@advising.ufl.edu for assistance.

Please note: if a student’s question requires more than 1-2 sentences of explanation of their issue, it is likely not a quick question and should instead be an appointment.
