Meet UF’s CLAS Pre-Health Advisors
Required Materials for Pre-Health Advising Appointments
Students scheduling a Pre-Health Advising Appointment are required to arrive with a completed rough draft of a Pre-Health Action Plan. Students should complete both page 1 and 2 of the Pre-Health Action Plan prior to their appointment time.
Students may consider utilizing the model semester plans and the Pre-Health Profession Tile affiliated with their respective chosen health professions to prepare for their appointment.
Incoming Freshman
Incoming freshmen students are required to attend Preview, meet with their general college/major advisor for their first year, learn about pre-health academics, and utilize pre-health resources, such as model semester plans.
Freshman
College of Liberal Arts and Sciences freshman have access to a limited number of Pre-health Appointments, after meeting with their CLAS general advisors. Students outside CLAS should work with their college/ major advisors in their first year. Quick questions can also be directed to prehealth@advising.ufl.edu.
Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors, & Alumni
The CLAS Pre-Health Advising Team advises UF Pre-Health students sophomores (term 3 and above) through UF Alumni both in-person and remote Zoom appointments by taking our quick survey to connect with an advisor and schedule an appointment.
UF transfer students are encouraged to watch the Pre-Health 101 Workshop; attend Preview; speak with their college and/or major advisors; and then meet with a pre-health advisor if you have pre-health specific questions.
Students in the UF Honors Program should check with the UF Honors Program website for the UF Honors Pre-Health Advising Team’s availability. Honors students can also schedule an appointment by clicking on the Advising Module in their Canvas cohort.
Pre-Health Students in the UF College of Agricultural and Life Sciences may see Kathryn Ivey, Assistant Director of Academic Advising. To book an in-person or remote advising appointment, as well as to book a personal statement review appointment, utilize her Bookings.
Mock Interviews
Appointments for mock interviews are closed for this cycle.
Students are only permitted ONE mock interview appointment, regardless of additional interviews or different interview modalities or types. Students must submit a professional school interview invitation from the current application cycle, as well as all of their application materials (pre-health resume and/or personal statement) at the time of booking or it will be canceled, as sufficient time is needed for advisor feedback.

Personal Statement Reviews
The C.L.A.S. Pre-Health Advising Team will begin offering personal statement reviews on April 20th. These appointments will open 7 days in advance.
When booking a personal statement, students are required to:
- Have their personal statement reviewed by the Career Connections Center, Writing Center, and/or peers.
- Submit a final draft of their personal statement for review by the Pre-Health Advising Team.
Students that submit a personal statement that demonstrates a lack of prior review will have their appointment canceled. After completing the required pre-reviews, students can book an appointment with the Pre-Health Advising Team utilizing our Connect with an Advisor survey tool.

Pre-Health Email Quick Question Advising
Pre-Health students with a quick, Pre-Health question may email the Pre-Health Advising Team at prehealth@advising.ufl.edu for assistance.
Please note: if a student’s question requires more than 1-2 sentences of explanation of their issue, it is likely not a quick question and should instead be an appointment.
